Christie Judith Mcallister

Judith Christie McAllister is a well known and loved musician in many of the highest religious musician fields. As a gifted writer and performer, she has become synonymous with beautiful music that can offer inspirational messages and the education of God's love to everyone. What makes people turn to music? A different question may be why do some people choose music? For Judith Christie McAllister the answer to that question is to bring the word of God to people through both her ministry and her artistry. Music has always been a universal language through which all people can communicate, and even in churches, more is accomplished through the music than any amount of talking or Bible reading. People can reach into the heart and soul of a song and grasp its meaning much easier. Why is that? Perhaps because people sometimes speak in such a way that the audience becomes bored, and once they become bored they no longer hear what you are saying. Through her music, Judith Christie McAllister became a way for God to communicate. Through her music, she was able to offer a unique understanding of the words conveyed during worship. McAllister teaches through her music to praise God in several different ways, including that of offering a worship service through song. She sees it as part of the total Praise and Worship service, and as such. She says the music must be a song of praise from the congregation to the Lord. Through her music, she conveys these messages to those that listen and her hope is that they too will continue to praise in this same unique manner throughout their lives. Perhaps what makes her so interesting is the way that she sees herself. She doesn't perceive herself to be an artist at all, but rather as a minister who has the good fortune to have released CDs that will hopefully reach many throughout the world and allow them to praise the Lord through songs of praise and thanksgiving. Regardless of her beliefs in this regard, her CD sales have shown that people are willing to follow her teachings or at least will purchase her product. Her newest release, "In His Presence, Live" is another way she effectively uses to draw people into the field of worship and bring them and even gather them into praising the Lord. Her intent is to use her music to draw as many people as she possibly can into worshipping and praising God. Instead of standing before an audience and ministering through the spoken word, she has chosen music. Her talents in this realm have helped to make her successful at what she does. Throughout the music on this latest recording she shares her testimony about how she sees God's healing power take place. This is inspired by personal experiences that only she has had which helps to make the words and music even more enjoyable and meaningful to those that listen to it. Part of this results from chronic pain she had suffered all her life because of severe scoliosis, when, at only 13 years old she was told it would adversely affect her heart and lungs as she grew bigger. Without surgery, doctors told her, she could probably not live past her 21st birthday. Even at such young an age, she did not see the negative side, but looked to the positive and the healing power of God. The pain would continue for some time as over the next year or so, she would be tested time and time again. Selfless as she is, in 2003 she postponed back surgery that she desperately needed in order to take care of her sick mother. In order to accomplish this, she was traveling back and forth from New York City to Los Angeles several times a month. For ten months she continued this routine, even while acute pain continued through her body. Never thinking of her own suffering, she continued to care for those she loved and held close to her. This continued for some time, until she lost both her mother and her mother-in-law within a week of one another. Devastated and left without understanding, she continued on with her own life. In March 2004 she finally had the back surgery she so desperately needed that included a spinal fusion, removal of disks, and re-joining her spinal column using rods and pins. The surgery and recovery was long and difficult, but she often speaks of putting her faith in God even in the most difficult of times. McAllister does not see any of her music or CDs as projects, and she writes her songs as she feels the power of the Lord inspire her. She's a minister sending out the word of God in a different way, hopefully in a way that will bring more people to believe in the power of God and experience His presence around them with music and praise. McAllister is a strong woman who has overcome many ordeals, yet through her faith in God, she has come out a winner and strives to share that through her ministry and singing. She wants her music to reach the congregation in ways that the spoken word doesn't. For this simple woman, her simple plan is to lead everyone to God through musical renditions. She continues to provide amazing inspiration and enjoyment to those that enjoy and reveal in her music and performances. .
